PAMPANGA GOVERNOR CALLS FOR PAUSE ON FLOOD CONTROL PROJECTS
Pampanga Gov. Lilia Pineda called for a temporary halt to flood control projects, saying years of incomplete works have failed to keep low-lying towns from flooding.
Pineda made the call as continuous southwest monsoon rains left parts of Pampanga submerged, including the Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes in Bacolor.
